Combination Yellow Warning Codes
So my virtually new M60 is not behaving well.
At first it would not charge on the EA DC chargers. The dealer took it in, looked at it got it to charge on its own DCFC and sent me home. I went back to EA and could not charge from the App. EA got me charging manually (nice) but sent me to BMW Assist. They told me to remove the App and reinstall. Which I tried, but when I went to go drive the vehicle later in the day to take it to a different charger to see if it would work I got TWO different warnings in order: High-voltage system warning; and then Drivetrain warning. Back to BMW Assist which "transferred" me to BMW Roadside Assistance. (That took 3 times from the iDrive before I just called from my phone. Different problem.) The Roadside Assistance Technician offered to tow the car to the dealer, but agreed that I could drive it 4 miles to the nearest dealer with I did this morning. At the dealer, I asked the SA if he had seen this before. He said, "not those 2 together." I've read a thread on the high-voltage message, but could find anything on both together. I have 416 miles on the vehicle and am not feeling great. Have others been through this? What have you seen and learned? Thanks. |

Sorry to hear that disconcerting news. Hopefully your dealer fixes it immediately.
Thanks for later informing us as to what was its resolution. |

I’m fairly sure the HV and Drivetrain warning are like the 2 most common errors, and usually appear after a failed EA charging error.
There was another post/poll on how many of us have had it. I’ll look for it and post it for you. |

I experienced what you did, with my ONE and ONLY Electrify America Charging session.
I have never used EA again, and these warnings/error messages have never returned. I use Level II and charge to 100% at home, when I know I am going to do a long drive. If no long drive planned, I just used Level I, and it takes sooooo long, that I almost never have to worry about it hitting 100% Last edited by deutsch100; 10-25-2023 at 04:58 PM.. |

Once before BMW pushed out something, and a bunch of folks got similar messages for a couple days, then all was good. That's what I'm hoping this is. |

I took it to a different dealer for service this time. They ran tests sent data off to BMW and told me that they "updated" software. They charged it to 100%. (308 miles of range for an M60!) I just got the car back this morning. I haven't checked to see what version I am on now. We'll see what happens next time I charge. |
