Deep house is too deep for me, or I feel that artists try hard to be avant- grade. My bff spins deep and tech house and I just can't get with. I stick to EARLY Underground Chicago House and New York House if I'm gna do house at all.

Florida and Baltimore breaks, Big Beat, UK Garage, and 2-Step are my go styles. House is decent but far too repetitive for my tastes, breakbeats make me wanna dance all night LONG!!

I would say 90% of music I listen to nowadays is Trap which has a pretty broad spectrum from Trap Hip Hop to Trap modern

Matter of opinion of course....but Quest Love....that guy is an amazing drummer! He does happen to be the drummer for the band on The Tonight, Show with Jimmy Fallon also known as The Roots who are Grammy Award winners. He has also produced music for Elvis Costello, Common, D'Angelo, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Bilal, Jay-Z, Nikka Costa, Al Green, Amy Winehouse, and John Legend.

Trash.....nah man, perhaps just a little talented.

It's all opinion of course. I'm really just messing around. Never been a fan of Rap is all. I just don't see the talent in it. Friends have tried to play the "ghetto poetry" game with me. I just can't hear it.

Sure I can throw up some Beastie Boys or maybe Linkin Park out as some "Rap" that I can actually listen too but hip hop etc etc.... does nothing for me.

Give me reggae any day. I can at least get into the island vibe.

Maybe it's because I'm an 80s child when musicians still played instruments and MTV was MUSIC Television

Reggae???? Man, that shit is garbage. J/K

Don't get me started on MTV. Maybe it was just because I was younger then, but I miss how it was back in the day. Mostly music videos and random ass game shows like Remote Control (for those who didn't know this is where Colin Quinn and Adam Sandler got their start)

Early NY and Chicago house used to be deep house. They completly changed the genre in the last decade or so . What counts as deep now would never count as deep in the 90s or early 2000s.

Idk about that. Deep house is pretty uppity sounding, always has been. Underground NY and Chicago House kinda welcomes everyone to the dance floor. I'm posting a staple that still gets played today and could NEVER EVER slide in under the "Deep House" radar.

Circle Chrildren is another staple that always gets played and it too could never fall into those categories.

I agree, that is house. Below is what I am referring too as 90s deep house.
