i8 vs. Tesla P85D

Both AWD.

Who would win in a 1 mile drag race? 0-60? 0-100-0? 0-155?

From what I understand (from my daughter, who's driven both), it's like driving a real game-changing sports car and a refrigerator on wheels.

From what I have read so far on the p85d, some dynos are reading over 800 foot pounds of torque... Not sure if the i8 can compete in a straight line... It also has a 3.2 0-60... The i8 is certainly a better looking car...

When I get back from vacation I am going to write a more full review but I have both, the i8 and a p85d. In short, the p85d is soooo much faster than the i8. The i8 feels so under powered compared to it. But in looks the i8 wins hand down. I will say though that the tesla still get some looks and pics taken of it but people don't do stupid things to take pics of it like in the i8.

How does the Tesla handle? My daughter (who's 17 by the way, and a car nut like me, having driven a Z4, an X1 and both of my 650is as well as my i8) said the Tesla felt "dead" in comparison to the i8. The Tesla she's driven is the 85S, owned by her best friend who doesn't like driving.

I agree coming from a i8 and ex-tesla owner. The tesla cars are all over LA and I don't give them much of a second glass anymore, even if it is a P85D. i8 though...still so new and fresh.
