Engineering is hardly exact. Almost everything is an approximation, nothing is ever manufactured exactly to spec. Itís why we have process corners in semiconductor fabrication, for example.

theres a difference in tolerances "exactness" and medical "exactness"

medical also isnt a STEM field in the traditional sense.
