I don't think this new eDrive35 has anything to do with the new tax bill. It was predicted months ago on the upcoming models section of this forum.
The interesting part, though, is whether eDrive40 will be switched to AWD. That was part of the upcoming models prediction and would make a lot more sense for the lineup of 3 i4 variants. |

Maybe a way of keeping dealers in business in this day and age of low production and not having to worry about getting more commission from sales. That way BMW may not have to give them more incentives as the car hasnt been sold yet. Its all too suspect with the way they r releasing all these models.
