Got myself a rare one Frozen Yellow i8 2017
Picked her up two weeks ago. Looks like the 1st owner do not really take care of the car and wash it through those machine Drive-thrus had to call my detailer to try his best to remove the scratches on the car and he did a great job. Shout out to Mike @ ProMobileautodetailing . If you're here in Southern California, try him out best in the industry.

Next transferred my coin/key holder for my i3 to the i8

Next on the list Will be tinting car and front window protection for no window crack.

Mod list :
Tint
Wheels 20's or maybe 21's
Body kit- front lip, side skirts, diffuser and spoiler
Upgrade the 6x9 speaker
Maybe Performance software

Just got the car tinted over the weekend.
Installed the Huper optik Ceramic 20 sides / 50 front window. The tint completely transformed the car to another level.

At first I thought the yellow was a wrap. Similar issues to the velvet black i8 I saw at a dealer before i bought my white one. The paint was also beat up like yours showed. Seams maybe the silky paints from bmw just were not holding up well? Also those scuff could have come from a cheap car cover. A friend of mine learned the hard way.

Just need to swap the rear wheels over side to side. They are mounted incorrectly - the fronts are fine.

Thank you for noticing that.. but I'm going ride with them. just ordered Wheels should be here in a couple of weeks

So I decided to use my old amp subwoofer combo from my i3 and installed it into this car (tester)

After I tested and decided to put a JBL and move the woofer to the front of the car

I'm also interested in more info! I love the sound from the premium Harmon Karman. But my x3 with the Harmon Karman system has more bass. So im quite interested in where to wire in a similar system!

Yes Yes, the speaker is in front of the passenger front mat, No, used tap ground from the trunk amp side.

followed this YouTube guy that did it on a i3

Only difference is the wire, one of the wires is just RED on our i8 ....

Little updated on system
Have some speakers laying around and decided to connect them with the 6x9 speaker
MB Quart 5.25 (one) enough space behind the 6x9, it might fit two little speakers behind there.

Put my music so loud I don't hear the electric sound and for motor noise same thing but I haven't used it on sport mode yet so I don't know that one.
