I took a drive yesterday in e mode just to see how for I could go. The day was perfect for good electric range, 80-85 degrees and beautiful in the Bay Area. I got just under 22 miles before the ICE kicked in. I was in Eco Pro and didn’t use the air conditioning, which annoyed my wife, but I told her it was for science. There was an elevation gain of about 250 feet on the way out, so a slight decline on the way back. I drove mostly between 25-40 mph on surface streets with stops. The most I have ever gotten was 23+ miles over 4 years ago when I first got the car, so it appears that there hasn’t been too much battery degradation in a seven-year-old (2015) car. I’m pleased with that. I’m wondering how others have done, and how much farther the bigger battery can go? Btw my car has 14,000 miles on it and I keep it plugged in all the time.

Mine is one year older and the battery capacity has reduced down to 17 miles this morning in 60 degree weather. I couldn't remember if i ever got over 20 miles but now you confirmed my suspicion!

Hello MJ, thanks for the post.
School Bus pickup (round trip 10 miles each way), 65F air temps , preconditioned prior to departure and full charge, elevation gains negated as it was a round trip , Eco Pro + E-Drive, 30-60mph with occasional traffic light stops - achieved 19 miles before the ICE kicked in , late 2017 i8C. (29K miles). 4 Weeks into ownership ... the i8 is just unbelievable on all counts, not missing the X3MC Lci one jot
