213, you crack me up.

To answer your question, as others have stated; wait until you get a solid job offer before you worry about it. In the meantime, continue to look until you are offered a wage and a start. If I had to choose between either of the jobs, I'd most likely be asleep in a book store. As a SA, those guys deal with a lot of shit. I worked at a car lot briefly and all the SA's were beyond jaded. I also just took the Lexus to the service department at the local dealer for a recall; as professional as those guys were, you could tell they were beyond stressed out. Maybe being an SA at a Subaru dealership wouldn't be as bad as say BMW, MB, Audi, Lexus, etc.

I'm not trying to sound like a Boomer here but you're a communications major and every post you've made in this thread has spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.

I get it, it's a chat forum. However, you may be surprised how your online persona in all sorts of diverse places can affect your future employment prospects.

I'm the Director of a small company and I once offered a job to someone I had never met in person but had made it known he was looking for work in a hunting and fishing forum. This forum probably has more people in your local area than mine does across my whole country so you never know...

It's not just me. Two other guys have already called you out on it. Give it some thought.

If you're definitely going back to college next year, take whatever job you can get and don't over think it. Shitty jobs are character building and I mean that in the nicest way. If the job doesn't live up to your expectations it will motivate your study and build resilience for your next entry into the workforce.

Good luck.

What do you even do with a communications degree? And who's paying for your school? I know it's not you because you would have chose a different major.

Yes, I'm a Family Physician and we were looking for a psychologist to work at our practice. I knew this person was a psychologist and based on the way he interacted with others online I offered him an interview. He communicated well, had a good sense of humour but not at the expense of others and above all, was helpful. In the end, he declined the offer because it would have required an interstate move and he preferred to stay in his home town.

The most popular majors at Loyola Marymount University include: Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Visual and Performing Arts; Social Sciences; Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs; and Psychology.

Honestly, I would switch to either Business Management or Marketing. Wtf are you gonna do with a communication major?

Communications majors can do PR, which is shaping public opinion these days. Plenty of opportunities. Can also go to law school or get into any kind of media.

Do you realize how much you can make in construction and trade jobs in general? $75-100/hr is not uncommon.
$25+/hr is generally starting rate depending on the trade.

Do you want to be a commissioned sales person? Then take the service advisor job. That’s how it works, they get commission.

Which job do you want?

Trades are lucrative, specifically anything electrical. But you have to have the DNA for it. I don’t think a Communications major has the DNA to be an electrician or electrical contractor. My opinion.

I have a Math degree, but am a weekend warrior. My DNA failed me: it's Friday and I'm still drinking coffee with my left hand because I drove about 20 nails last Sunday with an actual hammer. I totally forgot my wife bought me a palm air hammer

palm air hammer... Sounds like a Homer Simpson invention. I hope it works!

Its true tho, desk jobs and trades jobs don't overlap very well. Swinging a hammer is more about technique than strength, and that only comes with experience.

As mentioned, keep your mind open to try different jobs and try to network with friends / family if possible. You never know, some buddy's workplace may be looking for someone and you would never hear about it.

Disagree in regards to what I put in bold. Some of the best engineers in Naval Shipbuilding came from the deckplates. Those who just have a degree usually fail when it comes to designing something practical for use. I'd prefer a PM with deckplate knowledge over a PM with a strict engineering background.

Well this has been a fun read. I would also recommend a trade job as they pay well and it is good work. Doesn't seem like you are cut out for school based on your comments (unless someone else is paying for it).
