I just watched the whole release video. I’m not a huge jeep fan, but I have to say that I admire their branding and sticking to design cues throughout their line. And their heritage and tying that to the new vehicles. I just wish our BMW guys would pull their heads out of their you know what’s, and do the same for BMW. Instead we get hodge podge of different looking grills across the line that don’t even have grills or lighting that has any bloodline left in it. Really should fire them all and get a design studio that understands why bmw is supposed to be special, then homologate the model line with similar design cues tied back to heritage in racing, and why our beamers are supposed to be special. Watching this jeep video should be an inspiration for those bmw designers looking for new jobs. Rant over. Sheesh.
Anyways good job team Jeep, good video, good release! Makes me want to go check one out. |

Not the same platform. This is riding on Alfa Romeo's Giorgio Platform. Durango is on the aging MB GL/M-Class platform.

Looks functional. Not flashy but will appeal to families.

Man I really liked the last generation's sport look, especially with the SRT and trackhawk versions....I wonder how they are going to make this one look as sport with its newer more square proportions?
If I were to sell my f80, I was thinking about picking up an SRT but not sure now...unless I go used. |
