4. Open and airy

Don't like
1. The grill. Goddamn I was hoping the backlash would make them reconsider but no. They are going all out stupid on it.
2. Overall the car looks a bit too "chunky." Was hoping for something a bit more sleek like the Taycan
3. The trunk. Bangle Butt 2.0 anyone?
4. Range is not that encouraging for such a large vehicle. I guess they don't have the same level of energy management and energy density that Tesla do in the Model 3.
5. Badge. Not liking the new clear design. It just blends in with the body colour. From a distance the brand looks diminished instead of distinguishing.

I guess you missed the new 8-series gran coupe, "Bangle Butt" already back. Which I actually like on new 8. Will see how it looks on production version of i4.

The Bangle butt never left. Every automaker has it since then. It's just that everyone is doing it much better and much more discreetly now.

I think this new logo will only be used by the futuristic electric cars.

Definitely a cool-looking car. Not beautiful, but cool. Even the grills.

Could you provide an example of the bangle butt on another vehicle.

Bangle Butt has pretty much become a norm in the auto industry now, regardless of brand.

It seems that the grills will continue to get bigger and bigger. Found this interesting depiction of how this has happened over time....

I’d probably buy this. Have been driving an S60 Polestar and like it enough that I can concede a car for around town that is electric makes too much sense.

But for the weekends it’s an 8 cylinder planet crusher with a manual transmission for me.

Grill on the i4 and 4 series sucks though.

I can't really understand why people obsess so much on the exterior. As long as it's not outright ugly, which this isn't, it's fine.
After all you sit inside the car when you drive it.

You're still walking up to it everyday and looking back at the outside, and for some, they may like to photograph their cars and post them to instagram. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to some beauty is a necessity.

You sit inside your house. Doesn’t mean you want it to look like shit.

If the car is about as long as the 3er (4m70), how tall is Adrian van Hooydonk?!

I think this electric car will sell extremely well if not overpriced. Really like the curved high definition dashboard/screen! Everything looks really ergonomic, nice and sleek.

The negatives are the tacky Lexus gold color, the supersized kidney grills which are not even necessary anymore, the two hockey sticks exterior design elements, and the funky ugly rims. Personally don't want a solid glass roof, I prefer a metal over my head in case of a rollover.

Otherwise about time BMW!
