'14 Models still on sale.

In the Seattle area, there are over 50 2014 i3's for sale at 3 dealers. I wonder how good of a deal there are on these remainder cars.

Surprising for sure.

Once the rush for buying the i3 is over the i3 will be hard to sell as it has not advantages against a petrol BMW.

It's expensive to buy and the charging takes to long even the fast charging is slow at 30 minutes. The front seats are not very good and the car steers and rolls poor with its suspension.

You're busy dissing electrics and hybrids on these boards. Which i model do you own again?

I've had an i3 loaner twice and I disagree with everything you've written. And my i8 is the future. And as the owner of a lot of BMWs I can say that BMW is doing the i cars right. Of course, they may not fit in New Zealand, but that's a tiny audience in a far away place.

Well thats the way it goes enjoy your ride. They have sold 29 i3 in Auckland not bad for such a small city in only 2 months with no tax subsidies.

I like the design of the i3 and would have liked one in my garage I just love tight steering and sports suspension. It's only my thoughts and hopefully BMW may offer betters options for 2016 with the 3 series.

With those requirements you're not exactly the target audience for the i3, more likely the i8. If i8 is more of a sportier version of a 8-series (yeah I know this is totally wrong but just making a point) the i3 is not a sportier version of a 3-series.

Have you actually tried and compared the i3 to other EV's in the same segment and see how it fares?

I liked it for what it is even though I only had a loaner for a few days.

And to the OP bozola: I'm not in your area but I'm guessing you can get a pretty good deal if there are any '14 left in the coming months.

I own a 2010 Z4 35i, 2014 535d xdrive, and I have owned many petrol BMWs in my life. I respect everyone's opinion but, for me, the i3 is an incredible car. Bravo to BMW for making an original electric that serves about 90% of our daily needs. It saves gas as well as wear and tear on the petrols, plus it is a blast to drive.

This is the great thing in New Zealand we are smallest but we are the biggest buyers of top cars per pollution in the world. We are the freest county in the world as well.

Like I said the i3 needs better steering and suspicion.

I don't find it suspicious at all. And as an urban car its steering is just fine.
