Takes all the driving enthusiasm out of the i8 derivative or any other sports car for that matter. With this abomination, they might as well throw in a rocking chair and faux fireplace as options for the avid book reading driver or passenger.
The driverless feature is better off left to non-sporting or uninspiring utilitarian passenger vehicles such as Google's self driving car . |

It has a greatly improved rear over the orignal, big thanks for that!
Even though not all new ideas are useful or desirable it is good that people exist who think outside of the box. There will always be critics. |

The car is an ugly attempt to "smooth out" those aspects of the i8 that give the car its distinctive look. If the idea was to create a car more boring looking than the Teslas, well the creators of this abomination succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

I don't mind people pushing envelopes and thinking out of the box. It's cool to generate new ideas. That's how we move forward. But can you please do that with your own designs, instead of taking other people's products and making them worse?
How come the i8 has to suffer half a ton of filler? I've never seen a Ferrari or a Porsche (well, apart from the Rufs) subjected to this kind of treatment. Do they have better intellectual propoerty protection? |

Thinking outside the box is great exercise in bringing forth innovation. However, converting a sports car that's meant for spirited driving into a mobile commuting library is an ill conceived and misguided exercise. On a positive note, the developers for this vehicle have triumphantly produced a modern day derivation of Hans Christian Andersen's tale - Emperor's New Clothes or at best, a stellar example of an oxymoron. |

What the hell? I mean the tech sounds crazy interesting & hard but I doubt it could fully just drive itself wherever you want it to go & you just sit there (i would not want it to anyway) The steering wheel retracts WWTTFFF that can't be safe or street legal at all haha. Just like the Tesla self drive video it was about to mess up many times & cause a crash so the driver had to have that steering wheel to take back over control & stop it. If there is no steering wheel there then your literally putting your life in the hands of that car & its computer & we are just not in that day & age yet to do that lol. Unless you want to be a test dummy with your life.

If I was forced to choose between the Etos and Top Gear's rendition of a library equipped means of transportation, I'd opt for the latter. At least you'll have the visceral experience form the spark flying tinder, billowing smoke and furniture being tossed about. The Etos, on the other hand, would be a sedentary mind numbing experience.
