I went to check out an i3 last night and was actually surprised that the car drove well, I stepped out of my m4 straight in the i3 to put it in perspective.

We sat down after the test drive and I was shocked to say the least at the lease price. I need to advice, and reasoning to why it's so high. I've seen these cars for as low as $140 a month on this forum so $200-400 would make sense but $700 I don't understand. I've attached the quote below.

Sale Price: $57645
Customer Cash: $1588
Rebates: $10000
Residual Amount: $36,892.80
Mf: 0.00206
Annual Mileage: 10k
Term: 24 months

Yeah thats outrageous, they must be doing something wrong. My $56k 2017 REX is $380 after tax on a 2yr 15k per year lease.

Some dealers are just idiots or get lucky with a sucker. I was quoted $400 more per month on a lease of an X5 in Kentucky by some dumb rednecks.

Do you have with you the lease quote? Can you share it? I kinda want to see where my quote is wrong.

Noooooo!!!!! That is a horrible lease deal.

By comparison, some people are leasing i3s this month for under $200. One lucky soul in NJ got his for $50-ish/month.

That's a horrible deal but yes, stepping from my F80 to my i3 isn't that bad at all. It's zippy and fun to drive.

Are the other prices you are comparing to on a 24 or 36 month lease?

Is it adding that $319 theft deterrent in the monthly payment? That might be the problem.

That $319 is kinda ridiculous but its amortized over the 24 months so $319/24 = $13 a month (plus interest/MF) so its not adding much. The residual is the issue, MF doesnt help.

It really makes no sense even with basic math; 57,645+319-11,588-36893 = 9,483 total payments at 24m its 395 a month.

Talk to a forum sponsor. Between a 9-10% discount from MSRP and all the BMW and gov incentives I could stack, I leased one for about $181/month

That's hilarious and totally stupid. I wouldn't deal with them after trying to pull crap like that. It's an untrustworthy dealer. My 2017 Rex 30m 10k/yr is $401 with tax and the car has every single option. They're trying to scam you. plain and simple.
