I'm wanting to get an extended warranty on my i8. Does anyone have a good 3rd party warranty company? BMW Financial quoted me $7800 for 5 year/60,000 miles. Which I think is too pricey, because 1/3 o that cost is their commission. I was hoping to get something cheaper.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
$1500,- per year NOT to worry about a thing as all defects will be taken care of by the official dealer (and no discussions with a slightly cheaper 3rd party in the middle).
Why not start with a 3-year warranty period with committed price for years 4 and 5 in case you still own the car in 2022?

In the UK the BMW extended warranty is from £900 with an excess of a few hundred quid.

Anyone know if the excess payment is per fault or per claim. Wondering if I should save up my faults before claiming?
