2020 BMW i3 ordering / pricing guide? (Options, pricing, battery?)

Does anyone have the 2020 BMW i3 ordering / pricing guide?

I am wondering how significant pricing and options will change when compared to 2019.

We were teased with an increased battery size but when do folks think that will arrive?

Does anyone know how the options / pricing change from 2017 to 2018?

I can find the 2017 pricing guide but not the 2018.

Seems like there a ton of 2019 REX models still available at good discounts right now; so if things don't change much may go that route but would love to know for sure.

There were many more last month, fewer today.
The $3,000 loyalty is still good this month. Also, next week you can get another $1,000 for the hunger drive.

Is it true that the hunger drive can't be applied to a car that was ordered? That's what the dealer says and I see that in the fine print, but I was wondering if maybe that had something to do with pre-paid orders (?). It just seems odd to me for a normal ordering situation, as I have no obligation to buy the car I ordered; I would assume that I am technically buying it off the lot.

The car will have been flagged as a priority 1 - customer order car when it went into production. Your name will be associated with the production number. So BMW FS will certainly know if it was ordered vs a dealer car. P1 cars are considered sold when they're ordered even though you could just walk away from it. Not sure what happens is another buyer tries to get it then. My guess is not all of that 1k is coming from BMW NA. It might be part dealer credit. 1K Ultimate Driver event credit was like that.

Has anyone seen updates on the 2020 i3? Ability to order, pricing guides, etc.?

The 2020's must be in production now. 2019 Production ended in late Oct. I'd ask your dealer CA if they can put in an order. The only option change I've heard is the Copper edition spec.

I reached out to a couple client advisors, and apparently some dealers have allocations and others don't.

Bottom Line: 2020 i3 allocations are out there, but availability will vary by dealer.

BMW's website now has 2020 pricing. Pricing is the same as the 2019 models.

Does not look like there are any changes - please let me know if I am wrong.

Looks like there are few Roadstyle Edition vehicles on ways to dealers but no on seems to have allocations for custom orders. One dealer said he had some on the way but wanted to charge $500 over invoice. This seems way off market especially given we know another battery refresh is likely for 2021 and other available EVs (Tesla, Bolt, Etc.).

Such a strange and annoying experience trying to purchase one of these cars new.

500 over invoice minus all BMWNA incentives doesn't sound like a bad deal. Do you mean he wanted 500 over MSRP?

There's also a special premium 'DSG' Pack for the i3 that will offer performance-tuned suspension, upgraded all-wheel drive, driver assist, a heated front steering wheel and a rear seat entertainment system .
