2014 i3 - good deal?

I'm buying an i3 for my business and wanted a Tera interior. They offered my a 2014 (!) dealer demo car with 600 miles for $41,113. Navigation as well. 600 miles. 2 year lease. MSRP $51,200. The deal sounds good but I'm worried about the mileage already on the car.

Toughts?

Miles on these cars ain't no big deal! As theirs no real break in for the engine.

At 600 miles she's still a spring chicken.

Also it being a lease depends on how much you drive. As the 600 is taking away from your allowed mileage.

600 miles is nothing on an EV.
Since you are leasing, exact model year is not important. Just make sure you are OK without fast charger build in, as I don't believe 2014 MY cars had them (or maybe they were optional?).

The price point, by itself, is not enough to pass a judgement on the attractiveness of the deal. You absolutely need to get down in writing at least the following:
- the MSD (money factor) that will be used in calculating your lease payments (and any dealer markups on MSD that may be attempted)
- total fees that will be introduced to pad dealer profit (can easily run into thousands, if you are not paying attention)
- vehicle residual value for your selected mileage total (can vary across months, may, or may not be, padded to clear older model years). I think it's the same for both REX and BEV, but not sure about 2014 MY cars.

Once you have the above, you will be able to calculate the monthly payment on your own, and compare it to the one dealer gives us. If there is a disparity, you will know that they are padding something somewhere else

DC Fast Charging was optional on MY 2014 i3s.

That i3 OP is looking at better have DC Fast Charging optioned considering its a Tera World. Double check! Sometimes some builds have illogical configurations.
