Joined the Ionic Silver i8 Club (with pictures)

I picked up my i8 on Saturday and super happy with it. I did a 3 year / 10K per year lease. Chose ionic silver for the exterior as I really like the way the silver contrasts with the frozen blue accents. Went with Tera world for the interior since my last car had a black interior I wanted something different this time around and had to have the blue seat belts and accent on the steering wheel. Wheels were probably the hardest choice as I love both options (just wish they were wider) - originally planed to go with the Style 470 W-spoke wheels as I really like they way they look particularly when the car is stationary and probably easier to the clean but ultimately went with the Style 625 turbines as I like the look more when the car is in motion and have a more sporty character.

The other car I was looking at getting was a Porsche 911 either a 991 S or 4S or a 991.2 base, S or 4S. I went back and forth between the 911 and the i8 for a few months. Did a bunch of test drives which while helpful isn't really that helpful. While the i8 won out I think I would have been very happy with the 911 as well.

I want to say thanks to all the forum members I chatted / PMed with during the decision process - your thoughts and information were extremely helpful to me!

Next steps is to get the car coded, detector hard wired, dash cam installed and the paint sealed.

Huge fan of the 911 but there's no question the i8 is a flashier/better looking/ more exotic looking car. Congrats enjoy !!
