Service bulletin for shocker dust covers?

Guys,

My car has just been assessed at the main dealers for the shock absorber dust covers/gaiters splitting.

Someone metioned that there is a service bulletin for this but they say that in the UK they have not heard of it.

Are they different in the US? and
Can anyone supply me with the number please?

A couple of people said that they had theirs changed under the manufacturers warranty but mine is just out of that being a late 2015 (16K miles!).

Would be good to know if BMW already know about this issue and if there is a new 'improved' part?

Looking at a few options at where to go with this but will post the pics soon.

Just mentioned in another thread that BMW quoted GBP 1242.32 to replace one of these that is split on the driver's side (luckily I have extended warranty so no cost to swallow). I had the passenger side done a few months ago under warranty as well.

Wow, seems very steep as my quote is more like that price for all 4!! They are £35 each but obviously quite a lot of labour.

Just wondering as well if anyone knows if the part is the same one or now made from an improved material due to being very thin?
You would have thought that they would be used on other cars and not unique to the i8?

According to the realoem website the Service Information Bulletin is
59834045. But I cannot find the bulletin.
I ended up getting SACHS 900 470.
