Extended Warranty Opinion?

What is the opinion of the group, I have 2019 i8 coupe. The new car warranty expires soon. I have less than 5,000 miles on the car . I don't plan on driving car more or less in the next 3 years so assume i drive 1k miles a year. Would you buy the extended the warranty for an additional 3 years or just take on the risk.

i was in the exact same situation just a week ago.

I went ahead and just purchased the extra 2 years (starts from manufacturing date of 2019 so 6 year platinum package)

2019 i8 with 20k miles and it was about $5500 FYI (called teresa from what other people recommended in the forums)

I havent used it yet but as of now i do feel more at peace when it comes to driving the car if that amounts to anything

when you get the US $16K bill for 2 parts (see previous post for the EME), that BMW covered under good will, you never know what can go wrong.

Just got the Platinum Electric 84/75k miles. Peace of mind is worth it especially with complicated car. What will happen to these cars in the future.
