Anyone HERE GAMBLE?
I am planning a trip down to VEGAS around mid-June. I have only been once w/ my family a while back. This time I am heading there w/ my GF and was planning on staying for 2 or 3 nights. I was thinking the Belagio but was wondering if anyone else has any suggestions where to stay and what shows (if any) to see like cirquedusoleil or Spamalot (costs are definetely a factor).
In addition, should I rent a car or just trek around. I just purchased the Valentine One and was thinking of driving down from SF but it seems like a lot of miles to put on my car (so possibly fly Southwest). Anyways, any suggestions would help. Thanks

Mandalay Bay is nice. Bellagio has the nicest lobby I've seen in Vegas. The fountains are awesome. You won't need a car, unless you don't like walking to sight see. In that case, you can cab it anywhere. Take a day trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover dam while you are there.

Don't waist your time with sites. The bars and tables are the only things you need to see. Do the Palms, Venetian, and Bellagio, then head to Tangerine, Pure, and Rain. get a super cheap room at New York, New York or Excalibur, since you should never be in your room anyway. Vegas wasn't built to get your sleep. Done!

I think you need to drive there in your e90. LOL in fact, I was just giving another member a hard time yesterday about it on here. Everyone in N. CA should at least drive their e90 to Vegas once for the experience.
As to recommendations, weekdays will be a lot cheaper than weekends even in summer when it's 108 degrees. Either way, I recommend the Wynn and Venetian. I'm really not much of a Bellagio fan for some reason. "O" Show at the Bellagio is like one of the best shows that I've ever seen. Enjoy your trip.

The best "regular" room IMO is The Hotel at Mandalay,
then I would say bellagio vs venetian vs wynn. bellagio is smaller but they use nice stuff inside.... venetian is a huge room and average stuff... wynn was bright orange.. very contemporary last time I was there. Bellagio and Wynn are the most expensive... and they have the least amount of "specials" but the other hotels have a lot of specials that are not on their website.. fk |

I don't know about the pool, but the scenery is very nice at the Palms too.

I've only been and stayed once at the Flamingo. It was really nice and they seem to have better deals usually. I'm actually glad I stayed there for a first time cuz I didn't drop tons of money on just a room. It allowed me to be more willing to play around with my money. IMO I'd suggest staying away from the newer hotels due to their high prices for rooms, unless you catch a great deal. The first time is more about the experiences then the hotel anyways.
Next time I go I'll splurg and get a better hotel.

So try to go there around 4pm then chill for a while till the dinner food is out. Usually by 430p fk |
