I have to hand it to you. I'm not sure what impresses me more, the diversity of the what you prepare or your presentation.

Char grilled Angus Burger on a Brioche w/ Cheddar, a rocket salad with lemon vinegerette, and shaved parm, loaded pototo salad, accompanied by a couple Cloud Candy IPA's. Firing up the grill in t-minus 2 hours.

Crispy pork belly au jus and Gratin Savoyard
Recipe from Bruno Albouze on YouTube. The star ingredient for me is the freshly grated nutmeg in the gratin. A nice contrast after last night's tabbouleh. Last edited by chassis; 05-27-2021 at 08:47 PM.. |

Friday Night - Pizza Night
My latest reiteration and my last one...
The best Home Made Pizza I ever made. 5 time baked. * Crust, Sauce and Shreded Mozzarella Cheese (bake at 375) * Add Pepperoni and bake until they start to curl * Add Veggies and back until they look dried up (increased to 400) * Add more Pepperoni until they start to curl * Add Fresh Balled Mozzarella and Bacon Bits (under broil until the cheese browned and bubbled The only thing she like is the Fresh Mozzarella |

In honour of International Hamburger Day I had a TNT Spicy Burger and Poutine from Cheese Curds. Since all dine-in in the city is closed right now I drove down to the boardwalk in Eastern Passage and had a picnic in the car. It was only 11c and a stiff breeze coming off the water so it wasn't very pleasant outside. Sorry no pictures because I didn't want it to get cold. Maybe next time.
I lied, here's a picture from their website.

I forgot to post last night. Guac and calamari to start. I had seafood stew with mussels, clams, shrimp, and plantains. The mrs had mahi in a coconut cream sauce. Finished with a banana tart and chocolate ice cream. So good, and the views were unreal although it was dark so I don't have the photos.

I use to carry suitcase of it (vacuum pack) from Halifax to Ottawa every time I went to work in Halifax.
So did a lot of my friends that work for the government. I always had a lot of it in the freezer until Fuchen Covid. Can hardly wait for life to be back to normal... |
