2022 BMW iX launch materials
Here are the global press releases, in long (65 pages!) and short form, along with specifications and highlights. The long version is full of breathy hyperbole but there are some interesting technical tidbits.
If you are EV-savvy, I'd be interested in your comments about the drivetrain components BMW makes so many claims about. Personally, I like the fact that it's dual-motor. But I am not EV-savvy enough to know what, exactly, a "electrically excited synchronous motor" is. Sounds like a sex toy for perverts. Anyone know exactly what it is and why it might be better?

But not the details we care about for pre-orders. Only the pricing and ordering guides will do for that. And they haven't shown up for US cars (yet).
