Yeh me too, nothing else works, like NOTHING. I am in the habit of turning up the heat post cook to turn crud into dust so to avid pests and this has reduced my reliance on the brush.

The weber summit sytem is pretty good, drains into a trap that is well away from heat. And no i did not drop 4K on a bbq, was here when i moved in 10 years ago.

I've just got a wire brush that came w/my fancy grilling kit. It works, and so far now metal shards yet...that I know of.

Hot grill, wire brushed followed by paper towel wipe. Just make sure the paper towel does not slip out of you hand

Oh, you can still get it to catch on fire The upper portion can get pretty dirty and it's close enough to the burners that at 100% it'll light up grease that's coating any charred bits, but it generally does ok.

Beer Butt Chicken and Potato Salad. Kilkenny or Guinness are the best.
That must hurt... |

I havent used my smoker or my regular grille much this year. I love the griddle so much and its so versatile.
I know this may not look overly appealing but the char was perfect and they were super juicy. Sweet chile chicken kabob on the left and terryaki on the right. |

It's weird, aussies never used a grille, we only used a griddle. So I get here and I am like, well how the fuck do I cook eggs or onion or even flakey fish? So I bought a griddle plate I leave on one side of my grille. Noticed when i go home that friends BBQ's are now half and half, so they like the grille to a degree but not prepared to get rid of griddle.
