Rears replaced at 14K, fronts still going strong.

Use the i8 as my DD, so lots of motorway miles covered.

15k miles here, probably about 10k on the summer wheels, 5k winter. Switzerland; lots of curves and tight turns. Highway driving a little passive-aggressive due to the speed limit. I get my speed kicks in Germany.

Dealership noted on the last wheel change in the fall that the summers have 3/4 mm left and I should consider replacing. Will see what they say when the spring change comes up.

Old thread but had to update as my tyre life has been incredible.

Car is 2 yrs 4 months old with 27700 miles and I've still got 4mm on my original fronts!! Car lives an easy life as DD on the motorway and pottering in city rush hour, but remarkable longevity to say the least.

Still have 3mm on the second set of rears that I replaced (prematurely in readiness for winter) at 14800 miles.

So, currentwear rate is 1mm per 2600 miles for rears, giving a 15600 tyre life (would replace at 2mm) and 1mm per 6900 for the fronts, giving an incredible 41000 mile life :-0

Are my front tyres made of steel? Can't ever recall seeing that as an option

I know I should drive it faster and harder, but rarely get the chance!

245/40-20 Square setup?

Would it be possible to run a 245 square setup on the i8 without rubbing at the front?

Thinking about converting to PS4's...

I will probably go to Michilen Super Sport once the originals wear out. Loved them on the 911's.

I have same problem. Rears worn out at 5200 miles. I drive easy.
