Any suggestions for blackout blinds in the rear?
I'd like to get some blackout blinds for the rear of the car so that my sons can (hopefully) nap a little better when we're going on afternoon drives. I was going to buy some standard stick-on-the-window blinds but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone's found any better solutions. I think the options would be either stick on blinds or maybe something that hooks onto the hanger hooks near the roof of the car.

Two kids and never did the after market rear blinds, they are all bad in various ways. I also never really needed them, kids fall asleep in the car pretty easily regardless of the brightness.

My kids really care about those shades when the car is equipped with them (they fiddle with them and MUST have them up or down depending on what they are doing) but for some reason if the car doesn't have them they don't really seem to care or complain.
A friend with the stick on shades ended up with a big repair bill when the window was accidentally rolled down and sucked the shade into the door. It broke the window mechanism. If you do anything I'd suggest either tint or something that attaches to the car somehow and not the window itself. |
