Should be testing lows still. Have no idea why market is up all of a sudden. Tesla is up over 100% from its low like a month ago... didn't they shut a few plants down too? Yea like all this really makes sense...

It's not my retirement portfolio. It's an account I loaded awhile back with $5,000 to "play" with. Since then I pulled my initial deposit back out....and what I have in there now is what I call "house" money.

I will slowly build it up, pull some out, but always keep at least $5K in it.

I made around $7500.... But put it all back in at 97 cents a share.

It was crazy. They halted trading 5+ times during the entire ordeal because of the sheer volume.

That's the right way to "gamble".

Thanks. I'm typically conservative in anything with money. Once I made back my initial investment, I felt better as it was like it's not my money I'm taking chances with.

But that one account has actually done me well. I was able to pay cash for my last corvette with money I made in there.

Only downside is that if you do what I did today, you have to pay the full Capital Gains tax on it.

But I use it to look for stocks that are undervalued below fair market price as I can act on it immediately and not have to make a phone call or send an email.

I can use it to set buy/sell limits in whatever I'm interested in, set time limits, and walk away from it.

Doesn’t make sense to me either but either the economy will continue to rise as if nothing happened or this is the rise before the massive dip. Everyone’s investing and when it dips people will lose their shirts causing panic in the market and voila, we have a recession.

Ok need a little help to save me from my dumb assery. Last week I meant to buy some shares in CTXR but accidentally purchased CTXRW which is a warrant stock. I have absolutely no idea what to do with it now. It shows a very small growth but when I try to look at selling it the suggested sale price is below what I paid. I was trying to get out of it since I don't know anything about warrants. All of the explanations are clear as mud to me.

Nice you all are done making fun of me can someone give me insight on what to do?

Thanks

Nuck

Aiki closed at .82. After hours are at .87. No idea what this company is. Would it be good investment?

The markets and economy are JT always correlated. You can have a recession and a bull market and give versa.

Not if you have to ask an online forum.

Also....their public offering of 14 million shares got snatched up really quick. Speculation is that it could go up a few bucks a share if you plan to short....maybe more if you hold it.

But it could also be a "Pump and Dump" to raise cash for the company.

You gotta mentally get over that fact..Capital Gains tax is just the cost of doing business...in the case of Facebook, you could own that stock for an entire year and make absolutely zero profit, where as you could have traded that 50x by now and actually had something to show for it, etc.

I'll gladly pay 24% tax on 2x gains instead of paying 15% on 0x gains any day of the week.

Interesting...don’t usually like when many people speculate as it usually go opposite. Can we still buy after hours now?

I agree. I just wanted people to make sure they know what all it entails.

I'm not sure. I think it varies by the trader you use.

You cant be greedy in this stuff. If you double your money like a lot did with this stock....take your gains. I watched some people hold waiting for it to go higher......then got caught holding the "bag".

At that point you are in it for the long term....or you are losing . Only other option is doubling down when it drops and 'dollar averaging".

Also.....be aware this is money I have set aside that's intended to play with. If I lose it....it doesn't affect me aside from having to build my "house" fund back up.

Rising wedge on the daily. A whole lot of resistance going forward. 50MA and 200MA.

Classic pump and dump. I would be cautious with these penny stocks. These stocks are perfect for day traders (me included). I wouldn't want to hold these stocks long term though.

These are much better stocks for Coronavirus on the verge of breaking out. APT and MRNA.
