The reason is that threre is a lot of "redneck trash" around here. I think I'm legally allowed to voice an opinion on the topic since I grew up on a grain farm here in south-central Illinois...

They probably said "I've seen that" but the "'ve" can be silent so sometimes you can't tell that they've said it. "I seen that" is not correct. It's either "I've seen that" or "I saw that".
