I think that's why states like New Jersey has the law that no one is allowed to pump gas except the gas attendant

I recall hearing somehting about a owner of a gas station topped off his fuel tank but did not put the nozzle back into the dispenser machine and drove off just because he obviously does not need to pay. But it caused an explosion.

Must have happened a long time ago, the hoses now have quick disconnects so even if it gets ripped out only a tiny bit of gas will spill.

Thats the only reason to live in jersey...I have been here for 13 years and yet to find anything else I like about this state
