I think its fucking dope and I'll have one. Trading in my unicorn for this will be seamless except I'll need a HANS device when I put my foot down. Please and thank you.

this is very clearly the direction of travel for the non-X-car grille m8. I get people don't like them. I was very much in that camp. but I'm starting to see them on the road now and they're striking. like every other major change BMW makes up front, the new front ends date the outgoings massively.

I really hope these will be available soon, wish they would have just done a full spec and pricing reveal. I drove a Model 3 yesterday for the first time and man was I impressed. My 330iGT is due back in June, if the i4 is priced similarly to Model 3 than it should be a no brainer for me. Fingers crossed!

I think I would've been okay with the concept grille, but this is just... why...

All I want to know is who is telling the BMW board of directors that customers want BMW looking like no BMW. And why they are following this idiocy.

Looks pretty tame, like a normal BMW. Want to see some more colors, and wonder if there’s a different body kit between the 40i/50i models. Been waiting for this for a while now, I was set on getting one to replace my beloved i3S but I’m leaning more towards an M4 if cost is about the same. MSRP on this will be too high to qualify for the CA-state rebate now iirc.

And that's if you find an Electrify America station that supports that high of a charge rate, or that's working at all. The charging network outside of Tesla's Superchargers, still needs more work in my opinion.

Hood line ruins these cars, breaks up the flow. Had an E92 M3, no ugly hood line there. Skipped the F32, ugly hood line. Then they fixed it on the G20, which is why I got one, looks smooth and great. Now they keep going backward. What designer have they not fired and keeps getting that hood line introduced?!

I think that the grill looks very good, and BMW should have kept the big grills for the electric vehicles only. Change my mind

Also, I think that the i4 interior will be similar to the g20 g21 g22 g23 lci and that is the reason why we don't see it today. Being curious about the 4er gran coupe. We might see it in the lci form, too.

The outer DRL turn amber (not yellow) for signaling. In the video it does look like both of the DRL are kinda yellow (not amber, just like the M5 CS). In the pictures however, they are white. Might be bad color correction, idk....

But if the lights are turned off, the DRL turn white on the M5 CS as well due to homologation (i.e. the DRL are only yellow if the main headlights are on so the DRL are not actually used as DRL, or the car is turned off in which state it doesn't have to adhere to any homologation rules. If DRL are used as DRL without main lights on, they have to be white still). Not sure what's going on there...

They probably just used uncorrected B-roll footage, but you can see in the product shots that DRL LED are white.

Yeah, thanks for the edit, meant to type amber not yellow for turn signal.

The gist of my comment was I don't expect the M8 FE / M5 CS style DRL lighting on my regular models.

That is a great way to explain the design of this car..."Generically ugly". I don't find this beaver grill as offensive as I do with the M3, but the overall vibe of this i4 is 'meh'. I'm already bored with it. I think this will sell well for those that simply want a BMW EV, but I was hoping for a bit more excitement given the design opportunities an EV platform can provide.

IF you can find and access a 200kw charger it needs to even get there

The beaver teeth work on this, not on the M3/4.
