Conference Speaker Ideas

I have been asked to serve on a planning committee for a large national conference in our industry. We like to get interesting speakers on broader topics like politics, leadership, or just cool stuff. Crowd 1,000-2,000 also possible breakout sessions. To be held next summer (will no doubt have a political panel with a Rep and Dem).

Looking for recommendations - someone you think would be interesting or have heard. For example, Terry Bradshaw was a very entertaining speaker several years ago, Col. Tibbits (I think), former Air Force One pilot during 9/11 also very interesting with great stories.

Thanks!

I have heard a few that were really good.

Sal Khan from the Khan academy was one of the more recent that had a good presentation.

Got any ideas who would be good for a general audience on this topic (business people but not into fintech)?

We had Colin Powell speak at our national meeting 2 years ago. He was fantastic!

I have seen presentations that Powell has done in the pass and they are loaded with lots of great leadership golden nuggets well worth the time.

If you're in the Chicago/Midwest area, I can help you out with finding people. Dabbled a bit with it a few years back so my network is pretty good but it's local to Chicago

Thanks - this is an annual event that draws nationwide. Will be out west this year but travel is possible, right? Probably 1-2k attendees, typically friendly crowd.

Until a couple of years ago when the department for the publishing company I work for moved to my floor, I never had any idea that "Speaker Bureaus" existed.
When I started getting to know the people there, the list of speakers we pimp out is unbelievable with any topic you can think of. I guess everybody is available to rent for a function for a price.

I'd start by checking out a few Speaker Bureaus and seeing who is available to suit your needs.

Good luck

Dick Allgire. He's a retired news reporter who brings a very different angle into the discussion- he's a remote viewer. He got into cryptos as part of blind tasked remote viewing studies, and was pulled in after remote viewing the eventual collapse of the US dollar in the (somewhat) near future.

Not only is he entertaining, he 'stumbled' into cryptos in a very unique and interesting way as an otherwise 'regular Joe'. He also has plenty of other areas he could potentially delve into.
