Stopped by the dealership today to ask a few questions regarding my '23 iX we leased last week.

Was told the front 12 volt outlet would turn off after a few minutes of the car locking. I plugged my radar detector this afternoon and came back a couple hours later to check. Still on. Doh...
EDIT: I found the issue. The car turns the outlet back on when approaching with the keyfob even though the door remains locked.

I also had them try and personalize the Personal Mode. Nope, couldn't do anything. Only adjustment seems to be the ambient color scheme.

Iconic sounds are locked to the modes. No volume changes possible.

It does turn off for me. I charge my tablet on a 12V plug off USB-C and it stops charging after the car is locked.

12v outlet goes off on both my iX50 and M60 as well following locking the car. Modes are as described - Sport is the only customizable mode, and Iconic sound volume is fixed on all, varying only with throttle input.

Hmm ill double check it. but the detector was still on and i have auto lock on.

If you have the key transponder with you and get within 10 feet of the car or so the car it senses it.
My V1 comes on and starts chirping.

I have the auto unlock off as my car sits in the driveway and I walk by it too often when I'm not leaving may the power comes on even though the car doesn't unlock. Guess I have to walk up without the key or phone and check that way

Your 12-volt power will always turn back on when the vehicle is unlocked even if you don’t open a door. This is the same for any late model BMW.

I updated my original post. Car turns on the outlet but door remains locked when approaching with the keyfob.

The car will auto unlock unless you disabled that feature. Either way, your voltage system will turn back on.
