How much do you spend on clothes in a year?

How much and where do you shop? I spend about one thousand a year and my favourite places to shop are Hugo Boss, Nautica, J.Crew, and GAP I never pay retail prices.

I spend about $1000 but then I only go clothes shopping once every 5 years. So I guess that averages to 200$ a year?

In the last year:

Last Jan - tshirt, at a bar

June - got a 'free' tshirt with a music festival ticket

Last week - tshirt, gym shop

I used to think fashion was important, until I realized it's a giant scam.

I have enough clothes to last 5 lifetimes, except for underwear, socks, and maybe jeans, which wear out.

Every chump in SoCal, flame on.

It's not consistent with me. I probably spent close to $2,000 on jeans last year because I replaced my old ones. But now I'm content with them and haven't bought a pair of jeans in nearly a year.

As far as t shirts go...I just get the ones I like from Express that are $10-20 a piece when on sale. Same with my jackets/coats, I never pay retail for anything, and wait for a sale of some sort.

I also tend to stay away from brands like Ed Hardy and such because when the trend fades out, you will not want to wear the stuff anymore.

The most I spend on is probably shoes, lol. Although I've cut down tremendously since my prime days during high school, I still have about 35-40 pairs of sneakers that I regularly wear.

No roasting from me, man. The best thing you can wear is swagger. There are chumps out there wearing $1,000 LV Millionaire sunglasses, $300 jeans, $100 t shirt and at the end of the day, they're just trying to fit in and appear 'cool'. If you have the swagger AKA confident, you can skip all of that mess.

My friend is the conservative type..one pair of Converse Chuck Taylors, clothes from the 'cheaper' stores, but he still bags as many girls as anyone else.

Fashion trend comes and go. Look at the whole jersey trend from the early 2000s. Those jerseys were not cheap either..$150+ for one of them. Then you had the whole dress shirt with hat trend after that. You're going to be broke keeping up with the latest trends, like keeping up with having the newest generation of cars.

It's better to develop your own style than to follow others in the current fashion trend. Like this stupid ass trend that became popular over the last season...wearing 'summer scarfs' like we're in the hot desert. Or wearing a formal vest over a t shirt.

I regret to inform you that you have violated official Man Law 7:1-6, 18-24, and 54:6a-7bc... I hereby order you to surrender your title of "Man" or it will be taken by force.

Happy shopping/dishwashing/shirt ironing/car crashing,
-Scott

Hell yes. If I spent $2000 on jeans, I'd have 100 pairs of jeans. $200 jeans is a bigger scam than Bimmian mods. I might spend $1000 on clothes in an entire year, excluding suits or dress shoes. I haven't had to buy a suit in a couple years, but they run me about $1000 each.
