lol--no repost, just a lack of a search on this worthless topic.

What's the over/under on how many you can find? At least 5 I'm guessing...

I also know someone with a 5-bed/4-bath home, who drives a 2k2 Accord. I'm sure in his decision-making he figures the marginal cost of a BMW over his Accord is less than the marginal benefit of the BMW or any other car for that matter. His income is in no way indicative of Honda owners, as any poll here is of BMW owners.....

in all seriousness, what you posted is my thought exactly. I don't usually care, but it's the lack of trying that irks me.

This couldnt be any more closer then the truth. 3 series are almost cheaper then dirt in the US. A dime a dozen, or maybe a dime for 11.

This could be an interesting thread...I'm fairly new to E90post.com so I haven't seen any of the other thread's regarding this topic so I understand if it's played out but otherwise I would have no problem with this topic..

good lord, you can probably guess that income is much higher than average, but I would imagine that those who are car enthusiasts who stretch with incomes below the mode would account for a good number as well. I am a big time car entusiast who stretched to get a Porsche in my mid 20s and live comfortably with a bimmer now. I think it's more interesting to know what people do or what they've accomplished rather than incomes. The biggest fucking jackasses I've known make enormous incomes and might own 2 BMWs and a couple exotics and everything else material that apparently resonates in a seductive way for many. Tell me about your interesting or challenging job, whether you're a physician or social worker, and I will be a lot more engaged than if you have a high salary with nothing to show but your Zaino'd bimmer.

I'm assuming these figures come from those who lease their cars or buy using bmw financing, otherwise they couldn't get such detailed info. My point it that it's leaving out the bmw owners who pay cash. Which could throw it off quite a bit. My SA said around 10% pay cash, even if it's 3%, it could change things dramatically.

Generally people who pay cash do so not because their stupid but because it's not worth their time to worry about making car payments. If you have 1 million cash for example, would you still lease? Just an observation FWIW.

I've found people with a considerable amount of money are all about saving time and convenience.
