If you want to share, share. Otherwise all I hear is a guy explaining how he's got a BMW's worth of credit card debt he gets to pay off...

All your poll would tell you is the semi-fictional income of the tiny, tiny fraction of e90 owners who are also e90post members who are also insecure enough to feel the need post their (semi-fictional) incomes on an anonymous discussion forum.

We're all taking this poll with a grain of salt, right? I think the avg. e9x owner isn't even on this forum. This forum is comprised of the younger owners, 16-25-30 crowd, and probably the 40-70 crowd is very under-represented. And the I lease because I can earn 8% in an index fund is pretty crazy, too. Like to see someone pull off a 1 mil. home using credit cards and index funds and never having any cash because it's all invested. Bottom line? Not sustainable. Can you imagine these folks when the market has a downturn?

The best I've seen fixed for life and no fees is Sunoco Mastercard who keeps sending me 3.99% offers. 2.9 seems pretty good. Citi Mastercard does 4.99% with no fees. Discover and a bunch of others are 0% with no fees for 1 year. I dunno, I'm sure bankrate.com would reveal where this guy went for his 2.9. That's not bad as I'm paying 5.5% on a secured auto loan. |

And I never said it would pay for everything and you have to be 100% invested. Again I stick by my statement if you pay 100% cash for a car you are stupid. Here is my logic, get a group of 5 people of various incomes. Tell them you can pick A or B. A. You buy an object and pay 100% cash this object is useful but generates no income and decreases in value each year. B. You lease/finance an object and pay a small portion down 5% for this example and you are allowed to invest the other 95% in another area but you must also make monthly payments so you must have some cash at hand to cover a monthly payment incase your investment went down. Option B is how 99% of the world operates including business, for various reason including being able to invest in other areas and tax reasons. And if anyone is confused go ask your mom and dad and my guess is 99% of them will tell you they took out a bank loan for your car despite the fact they could of paid cash since they are investing your cash for college so that you understand concepts like concept B, which is a basic thing you learn in first year accounting. |

Me, I only paid 45%, because that's all I could swing at the time. If I could have paid 100%, I would have. Car money and investments are two completely different funding sources. The former is disposable income, the latter is not. The one thing we can all probably agree upon is that AZ real estate is a bubble that has begun to burst. |
