Guessing this will happen July 1st? Will it coincide with dealer allocations?
It is interesting because it has been some time since you could order a 2022....and they price guide/order guide for 2023 has been out for several weeks.

TurtleBoy was saying that it typically comes out a month after SOP (July 1st) to allow the dealers to sell current MY inventory. Since there's not much stock of I4 they may do it sooner.

So the estimate for MY23 builder is July 1st - August 1st.

After 2 bumps my '22 week 12 i4 has a new production number as a '23 (slight price increase) week 27. I have the build sheet and production number for the '23 already

Does the dealer contact people when 2023 switch happens? Some options price got increased and HUD it’s part of premium. My dealer won’t answer my questions. Anyone else ordered from Fremont dealer? They have a lot of cars coming in I see like 44 cars in transit this week a few weeks ago there were 70 i4. They won’t take a deposit either I wonder they took order with my name and sell it to someone with markup, where I should have gotten some other car while waiting 1 yr.

Did you pre-order with BMW or try to place an order directly with Fremont?

A year ago you should have gone direct with BMW.

I preordered in March at the dealer. But even if I did last yr wouldn’t you still have to go through the dealer?

No.
That's why I asked the question.
Pre-orders specificly ended in Nov of last year before production started. They were done with a deposit on the BMW website and assigned to a dealer.

An order in March with the dealer means you were put in line behind others.

So they won’t build new cars until BMW catches up to fulfill all preorder from last yr? This is for each dealer right not the whole country?

Uh, no.

They are generally not going to get to building new orders until the first and second wave of pre-orders are built.

I have been pushed back twice and now into MY2023. So If you placed an order with a dealer don't expect an allocation and an order into the factory for a while. There are lots.of people that placed deposits more than a year ago. They need to works through those before they get to you.

Damn! That really sucks, maybe I should just get 2023 M340 I’ll probably get this car by end of the yr.

You'd probably get the M340 my the end of year but it's a different car.

Right now I'm looking at September for my car, if I'm lucky.

WTH? Way too many delays especially you ordered right after preorder were opened. I don’t have much hope even getting it next summer.

The problem is they never told me what was causing the delay.
