i8 Carbon Fiber Roof

I have some light marks on my carbon fiber roof, what's the best way to remove said marks? You can really see them in direct sunlight. Only cause I can think of is previous owner took i8 through machine carwash which left the light marks on the roof.

Get a professional to do a full paint correction on the car. Must be a very good and reputable detailer that does it or you risk completely ruining the clearcoat on the roof.

What exactly do you mean by paint correction on a carbon fiber roof? How does the process work?

Went to BMW, they said their detail guy doesn't deal with carbon fiber and they recommended a local shop. Talked to the local shop's manager and he said that the process they use involves polishing the roof with a machine.

That's exactly what paint correction is. It's a polishing process that attempts to remove superficial scratches from the paint's clearcoat. The CF roof has a clearcoat that's similar to that on standard paint and can be buffed and polished as such.

I see you're in California. You're in luck. Contact Jeff at Immaculate Reflections - pretty sure he'll be able to help out. Email is irdetail01@gmail.com.

Here's an example of some of his work:
