I'd also love to hear it with everything set to the maximum!
Even a loud start.

Obviously, it wouldn't make too much sense to have it setup like that.
I'm just trying to get a better feel for the real volume this puts out.

Thanks!

Idle and dynamic are not sound volume, but more limits for the rpm range. Once you play with it you understand

Also start up volume is limited because most of the time the car starts electric and the thermal engine kicks in in motion

In total volume (at the loudest setting) under acceleration, how loud would you say the car is?

I'm referring to the outside of the car.

At least twice as stock in sport mode and a lot more v8ish . You cannot go all the way to 100% volume and be confortable with it

Okay, challenge accepted! I want to make my ears bleed.

So, it's twice as loud OUTSIDE? (Obviously, stock is very quiet)

We're talking about outside only...the kit doesn't amplify the inside sound

Is not about making your ears bleed but about sounding like something natural, not a dragster that iddles at 3000 rpm and making 9000 redline...

If you listen to the sound clip I posted in the first post you can hear exactly that:
First exhaust with sound booster, then factory sound, then sound booster again

Good deal. Thank you for the clarification. I thought it also altered the tone that got sent through the internal speakers. The internal videos previously posted seemed that way. That shows how loud it can be, since you can clearly hear it inside the cabin.....only altering the one external speaker. Wow!

Do you have any pics of running the wires from the trunk to the front. Curious what panels need to be removed.

door sill and rear passanger inner panel.
there is a passage already from the trunk to the cabin, you just run the provided wire along the factory harness.

Any chance of providing step-by-step pics or a video (which would be even better) of the install? If you were able to provide that, I'd buy the kit.

The only hard part of the install appears to be routing the power feed loom up to front of the car.

The power need must be quite low as it's just a couple of electronics boxes - is there enough capacity in the stereo amp power feed as using that would make the install much easier!?

don't know, I just followed the instructions...it uses a 5+5=10amp fuse...
it's not hard at all, just unclip the door sil and the rear passanger side panel and you'll find the factory harness coming from the trunk to the front.
Just route the wire along that.

Did you get your kit installed? I'm from dallas too and I'm curious to know if Classic BMW was able to install it and you are happy with the results.

I'm still awaiting the arrival of the parts. I'm expecting them middle to later next week.

When I get it all done, I'll tell you the name of the service advisor, so you'll have someone that knows what's going on.

Where in the metroplex are you?
