Hamilton has said he was 'struggling' before nabbing pole ,well... seems he is nearly always in some sort of 'turmoil' before topping the timings well orchestrated with subterfuge.

Wout is awesome too. His cyclocross skills helped out a lot! Max has visited me here in California and I visited him last year at TdF including in Pau where Both our friends crashed at same corner during. ITT. Max has even driven my M4 here in Foothills of California. Better watch out for Max during the Belgium classics this year!

Interesting Renault observation from the @F1Visual Qualifying post today.

Ocon (blue) can't break through the 26.3's in all three sessions. Not sure what it is but it's likely that he's driving at his limit.

Ricciardo (yellow) progressively finding more time as each session progresses.

All laps were on softs.

Let’s just award the championships to Ham and Mercedes for the two years and just skip to new regs now. Merc has been so far ahead since 2014 there’s zero competition from the other teams. RB and Ferrari have caught up slightly since but playing catch-up from that kind of margin is near impossible.
