New tub for #5.

Simone Resta in charge of tub development at SF has said the problem with VET's tub was caused when he went heavily over a kerb, probably when he smashed the sump also going the length of that kerb.

No more quali engine modes after SGP.

Ban on quali engine modes to come into force after the Spanish race and will be in place by Spa Francorchamps. Naturally it will affect the Merc engined teams more with the huge advantage they have held with their so called 'party-mode'.
So,its the same mode for quali and race

Ugh those old clips. The cars, the sound, the personalities, the announcers, no TSA because pre 911, no face diapers, the good old days.

I remember watching this and busting out laughing when Schuey waved at the crowd before the end of the race. It was so perfect hah.

Software will be checked though in Mercs case (road car diesel scandal) should be extremely thoroughly.

Cutting corners clampdown.

Masi has said anyone cutting corners especially in turn 2 will be tracked and a 3 strikes rule..then to stewards will be applied. On the second time a black and white flag will be shown to the driver, this won't apply to cars which are forced to cut a corner after viewing and deciding by experts.

actually they re saying that there should be a single engine mode for the entire race as well.. that part is a bit ridiculous though..

Let them first try to get their tires over the finish line , in one piece

LEWIS has zero chance vs MAX in Spain .This means next weekend we will see a "REAL RACE" again ...

and last weekend Merc's duct taped some coolings for tires i believe as long as they cool the tires more than last week it wont be that bad.. there ll be blisters probably no doubt but drivers may handle it better this time..

That's no problem mate , I'm not sure if you watched this Dutch video from today :
It's regarding the RB16 PU , HONDA pulled the engine wider open and it can run longer at full power in extreme hot temps without power loss , because the cooling is improved again .
More RB16 updates will follow for Belgium-Spa !
