It happened before with other champs.

But IMO there's no doubt: Lewis is one of the (5) greatest ever! (Fangio, Clark, Senna , Schumacher, Hamilton).

Luis is GOAT of the modern era. Plus, his story is so much better than the rest of the field. This dude had to work for it and now he's kicking ass. Definitely talented and not just the car - look at the beginning of his career, car sucked.

I was a big fan of his when he was starting out and just killing it as a driver. Since he has started telling the world how to live their lives I'm done with him. Sports is entertainment, and I think a lot of it's players have forgotten that, they will lose a lot of fan base quickly from folks who don't share their political views.

This guy sums it up pretty well, and what he says can be applied to any famous person who thinks they somehow are smarter than the rest of the world.

Hamilton is a great driver, I wish he'd just stick to that.

Great driver, impossible to compare him in history. Hasn't raced anyone but Bottas in years. Bottas has been the best teammate Hamilton could ever had, is quite, reserved, slightly behind Hamilton and knows his place.

It's often said that HAM was good in a lousy car and the comparison is made with Alonso and Button in the McL-Merc team.Yet the McLaren then was much better than much of the grid!

To your logic, Do you honestly think that if you put Gasly or Kvyat into MBZ he would be as good? What about Bottas, same car, where are the wins? The fact is, Luis makes the difference - his consistency is unbeatable, just look at all his records.

Of course the car has allot to do with it, but even a good car without a good driver can suck.

he proved his speed 13 years ago in his debut season.. Fair points, but I don't necessarily agree that Max's PU unit is being pushed to the limit because of his racecraft. If RB didn't believe in his craft, he wouldn't be there.

For that matter, I'm surprised anyone on the Haas team still has a job.
