Making a debut at the 2015 LA Auto Show is this limited edition BMW i3 Shadow Sport. It features Fluid Black exterior paint and dark grey cloth interior with blue highlights (Deka World).

It features a moonroof for the first time in the i3, as well as a sport tuned suspension and 19 inch wheels.

A Limited Edition Plaque marks all 50 vehicles produced and is available for $48,395 including Destination & Handling. 50 units were made available this week and are now all sold out.

The seats are cool....

I like the i3... But this one... Not so much.

50 already sold out? Yeah, pretty sure the M4 GTS won't be sitting around on lots either.

BMW is doing well! Keep the train a Rollin'

More models are needed! More customers await ! Plenty of room for 2 series gran coupe and M2 CSL

i saw the i8 thread someone mention this wasnt up on the homepage.. well.. here it is.. a "limited edition" because of a moon roof.. surprised it was 50k for the 50 units made.. or is there going to be a dealer Market Adjustment on this one too?

BMW will have to accept they made a horrible looking car eventually.
The only way to make this car attractive, is by including it as a gift when you buy an i8.

Stupid to make this a limited edition. Just sell it as a trim package. Looks like the pricing is normal.

Perhaps they are rolling this out and then the special items will be options later? I'd buy one without the sunroof, but with those seats...

Interesting that BMW chose Periscope as the media outlet for the reveal (as with the M2).

Couldn't disagree more. I'm as much of a performance loving M-junkie like the rest of us but I think that as far as futuristic looking electric cars go, the i3 and i8 are the best looking of the bunch. The only exception i can make are maybe the Teslas. Consumers love the quirky futuristic styling of the BMW i-division

I like how the i3 is on the floor with a cord hanging out the side of the car. When they debut other cars, like the new M2, why don't they have a gasoline pump hose hanging out the side of the car?

I assume it is done to reemphasize the car as being electric - but they think we really don't understand that by now?

True. If BMW gave me one of these, I would have to first slap it (because it is so ugly) and then give it back (because I would rather walk than drive this thing.

I sold my ZHP to buy one. You really should go drive one before blasting it for no good reason. WTF?

I would be one of those very surprised. Was at a dealer today that had a M4 and I3 next to each other. Would blow my mind if a large amount of M3/4 buyers were rushing to trade them in for it. Totally different genres.

And those door panels.
