My kids are 11 and 15. They listen to everything new. They love a lot of new artists. And hate a lot of new artists.

Doja Kat may be "slaying it" in terms of popularity, however both of them don't like her at all. And my son almost becomes violent if I let Billie Eilish play on the radio for more than 5 seconds. Then again, I have slowly converted him to liking 80's rock so my sense is that he's got a better ear for music than most young people. Listening to Christian James Hand break down songs on his Sessions (on IG now on Twitch) gives you a much greater appreciation for music. Good music is good music, new or old, regardless of genre. My son's favorite is Marshmello but his second favorite is Bon Jovi. Both of them love the Weekend, although agree he has a few dumpy songs.

So thanks for telling me what I need to get into, but I'll pass.

Moreover these ridiculous "branding" exercises just highlight the futility of BMW and how much of a tailspin they are in trying to find their direction.

these replies are hilarious... in all seriousness do you expect BMW not to create something flashy to promote their brand while sponsoring a music festival geared towards Gen Z/younger crowds? And in that respect even, it's not even that over the top. This is the first time I actually liked the look of the iX, the galaxy artwork is tasteful. Granted I'm in the wrap industry myself so I'm very used to these kind of wraps that most on here would consider sacrilege.

and can we please stop this "oh who is doja cat" or so-and-so as if it makes you cool to not know new artists... there is nothing wrong with appreciating classics or old-school genres, but there is also a reason why she's headlining this tour and probably making more money than everyone in this thread's salaries combined. luckily MB sponsors The Weeknd, so I don't have to read "why does his name have a typo" or some other dumb*** comment
