Assuming that is also how it works in the US (and I don't see why it would be any different), if Crevier didn't bother making the request to BMWNA (i.e. they incorrectly deemed it a normal wear and tear thing and didn't bother) then you should really look into seeing another dealer or being more insistent that it is indeed a defect that needs to be covered and force them to make the request. If it was rejected by BMWNA, I would escalate the issue with them and insist on actually speaking to someone. Be polite, but firm.

Cheers!
thanks for your input, however the service advisor told me they sent to a field advisor and this was the feedback they received (this was in novemeber of 2022):Field rep denied the request of replacing the seat leather does not meet the criteria of replacement per warranty guidelines.

Well that field rep was wrong. Unless yours is super subtle, and barely noticeable, the seat should not do that and so unless they claim abuse it should be covered by warranty, and others who have had similar issues have had theirs replaced under that same warranty. I wouldn't accept that response, but I get that it might not be worth the time to fight in everyone's case.

I would not be happy with this issue in any car let alone the price of the iX and the cost of the leather seats. Audi has gotten terrible with their seats, right out of the factory they come with creases and tenting. My sales guy scoured the country to located my e-trons that didn't have these issues. He found one but it still wasn't perfect. Take a look at the attached photo of a 2023 Q4 e-tron with 4K miles. Pathetic.

After looking at that Audi I feel better. Wow.

I’m going to hold off asking BMW to fix it now and see how it goes. It’s cosmetic atm. Make a decision when I get closer to the warranty expiring.
