service question and recommendations
2 questions.
1. Why won’t some service centers order a part for a SIB campaign before i come in to save me a trip? Especially, when I’ve been complaining about it for a bit. Are they just trying to be able to charge bmw more? 2. Any recommendations for a service center in the Atlanta area? I’ve used one so far and the person who answers the phone is wildly rude and it’s hard to get the service advisors on the phone.. |

This has impacted me too. I have a service appointment tomorrow for the airbag recall and they can’t order the parts until they have the vehicle. Who knows how long that’s going to take!

That was my experience in LA…. My car was in for 8 days since they would not order the part before “inspecting”. Makes no sense since other dealerships were able to perform all three recall remediations in 1 - 2 days.

At least I’m getting a loaner car. It better be an EV!

Also (at least in Canada, but I assume worldwide), airbags can't be flown in due to regulations, so they travel by land. This adds even more to the wait time.

I’m in ATL too. Interested to know what your experience is where ever you take it.
For body repair I thought Nalley did a good job on my iX. It’s separate from the service dept so no idea on how well they do. |

That’s where I bought my iX. Well that stinks if that’s the experience you got.
When I got rear-ended I called them for a body shop recommendation and the guy directed me to some non-certified BMW shop. I declined and went to Nalley as it was both certified and in my insurer’s approved shop list. Maybe United? It’s 20 min further for me but I saw it got a BMW center of excellence award. |

Just dropped my iX off to Momentum BMW service for the airbag recall, seat module reprogramming, software update, dash rattle sound, and hopefully a free pair of those worthless headrest pillows.
At least they gave me an iX loaner because whoTF wants to go to a gas station? |
