i remember this race one of the first races i remember clearly before that its a bit blurry since i was pretty small..

In the days of the V10 or V8s, when you walked up to the stands, you could hear the cars getting started and blasting towards the starting grid.
The scream of those engines thundering through the hills was terrifying.

As far as I know there are no track days at Daytona. I once went to a track day at Sebring and left with a flat tire and a broken wheel. That track has pot holes the size of a car. If you watch how the LMP1 cars were bouncing on the "resurfaced" track you can get an idea about how shitty it was before.
The dream is to drive on Nordschleife and Spa and our Belgian friends has both in his backyard 😂

Well my friend ...Let me tell you : (long story in short)

Let me say , I tried it once . And never ever again !
For 3 + hours I was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway , because an accident had happened a few miles in front of me .
That day thousands of people missed the race , and I was one of them ..People ran out of fuel on the highway , and stranded on the highway .
That day I drove 7 hours back and forth and I never saw the race ..
But every year in summer I drive 2-3 times through the Belgian Ardennes , and Francorchamps is always part of it .
In the evening I always pull over at a fancy restaurant , but this summer no way my friend as you know about the damn virus and the heat waves !
I drove with my car over Eau Rouge , and at high speed I felt the downforce !
Of course big b@lls are required

Mate In Europe everything is crazy expensive , the taxes are insane ! You would return to the US in no time .
The US is 40% cheaper . In the US your life is fine

The traffic jams are horrible. The last time I went to see te race we almost missed the start. There was a huge gridlock on the (only) motorway and my buddy and I decided to hit the emergency lane to skip the queue. We literally ditched the car just somewhere and ran to the stands. Just in time for the parade lap.
After the race it got worse. 100.000 visitors trying to get home (mostly Germans en Dutch visitors) via a 2 lane motorway. It took us 8 hours to get back to Amsterdam (a regular 3 hour drive).
I imagine these days, with the orange army supporting Max it will only be much worse.

no. 10 was classic case of Corvette driver switching off TC then too much throttle out of the bend
Most of the accidents there are caused by too much entry speed into the corner as demonstrated by the white A class who seemed to press the throttle more instead of brake pedal

Indeed my friend . It's for sure MAX makes a good chance in the rain , it's there where the real driver skills will shine .
Anyways Francorchamps is always a very special race ..as we know Eau Rouge is dangerous .
