They did tell him why it'll be a longer stop. But you need to understand is that he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Here's the video showing that they told him they're refilling the air system.

My friend . It was an article from the Scuderia Ferrari in La Gazzetta dello Sport .
So...I'm not sure about the whole Italian situation ..

Amazing Tour de Force from Mercedes and HAM. No one has an answer for him. He goes from strength to strength. This is the first year he has gotten on top of the car this early and look at the results.

Note to those discussing the BOT engine mode conversation: When BOT was in front in his only win of the season, HAM asked for more engine modes and was denied.

Mercedes drivers are free to race. Unfortunately for BOT, he is paired with the best driver on the circuit, the best of his generation, and the GOAT. 7ewis is the best. Flawless this weekend and getting stronger every week.

Enjoy the Masterclass as it happens. This won't be seen again. Driver, Car, and Team in perfect synchronicity.

My friend what is needed is one genius spokesman to speak for Monza and Mugello just to say 'we apologise profusely and Monza tickets will be accepted at Mugello' and of course adding 'no refunds accepted for Monza as to covid 19 situation beyond our control,sorry'.

It should have been pouring buckets my friend with those clouds..just another black day for the good of the sport with the 'dark side' romping it again laughing adjusting their party/jet mode at will. It's not Ferrari that are the laughing stock but the FIA and Liberty should have their heads bashed together good and proper for running a freak show for so long.

Everyone is saying that Ferrari need to make a big step until lock jaw sets in ha, so why aren't they.Only the ones deep in the corridors of M.hq know why and my guess is they are doing it on purpose as some condition from the rule makers for a previous misdemeanour.Crazy I know but what other explanation is feasible,I can't see them employing personel with low qualifications that shout eureka and everyone then follows. I watched the start of the race onboard with Bottas a million times and I can only say that he's either the dumbest driver on the grid or he's instructed to let HAM win. P2 in Spa (as in Sochi) is the best place to start. Seb in 2018 started in P2 and he knew that you lift on Raidillon then you push starting the top of the hill. This way you get the best tow and you pass before Les Combes. Yesterday Bottas kept pushing through Raidillon then he lifted at the top of the hill which compromised his run down the straight. Why would he do that???? In 2018 Seb and the 2 Force India (or whatever the fuck you call them) did it, the result was Seb passed Ham and the two pink cars defended well against the rest of the pack.

Go back to 2017 when HAM kept VET off his back for lap after lap. By forcing the following car to slow down on the climb to Raidillion, which HAM did lap after lap to VET, the following car is compromised on the Kemmel Straight.

On the start, HAM had wheel spin which allowed BOT to gain slightly. As they braked for LeSource, made the turn and accelerated again, HAM had wheel spin which caused BOT to lift slightly. This made all of the difference in the world as they completed the climb to Raidillion and down the Kemmel Straight just as in 2017. And no one lifts at Raidillion...the compression from the G-Load actually bogs the engine down for everyone.

BOT has no orders to let HAM win. It's a bad trope.

i watched as well and after turn 1 Lewis defended by moving to the left and Bottas had to lift.. looks like on the footage that lift (actually looks like 2 lifts in a flash) killed the momentum more than he thought cause its clear that he wanted to have perfect gap for max slipstream at the right time but he couldnt reach Lewis at the end of the straight..

and more importantly.. take a look when Bottas used the overtake button presumably cause he presses something 1-2 seconds before he s been blocked by Lewis.. and he used that button again in the beginning of the straight.. Lewis didnt used it until the straight and unfortunately because of the camera angle we cant see where exactly Lewis uses the overtake button.. another chance Bottas blew actually in short..
