Not sure why but the app says the car is unlocked...and the display key says it's locked!

The car is definitely locked. Even tried remote locking from the app which completes but still says the car is unlocked? (It isn't)

Any ideas? Cheers.

Unfortunately, normal for the App. I’ve never been able to get it to show locked.

Which app did you use, „BMW Connected“ or „My BMW“?

What does the App say in "last updated"? The car could have bad or no Internet connection where it sits. The App doesn't connect to the car but BMWs servers which have the connection to the car. And even with good connection the car mostly transmits status changes.

It just depends which has got the most recent update.

My display key is 8 floors up - it never has the most up to date as it needs a nearby connection with the car. My car has 3/4G signal all the time and is always accurate. If it were in a car park with no signal I'm sure it wouldn't be accurate.

It's BMW Connected. Or Unconnected in this case!

The app is on my phone and 30 feet away from my car, 2 feet away from my WiFi router....

App says it's updated very recently (overnight) and the car has been sitting on my drive locked for a few days. Still says 'unlocked' though. Might delete the car in the app and reinstall ...

My app always seems correct. I'd go with the reinstall.

Got through to BMW support today and they told me the stuck on 'unlocked' status is a fairly common complaint.
He suggested downloading the new 'My BMW' app which did give the correct locked status.
He said they will be adding more features to the My BMW app as it was only 2 weeks old.

I've had it more than 2 weeks! It's a rubbish app!

Yes I wondered if it was older...it does at least tell me if my car is locked unlike BMW Connected which is in a permanent state of 'unlock'....
