Ventilated seats
Are ventilated sport seats any different from non ventilated sport seats? Are the side bolsters the same? In my 2018 x3 m40 they are different. I just got my production number and have to make my final decision.
thanks for any input |

You lose side bolsters if you choose ventilated seats. Not worth it for me.

Yeah it wasn't worth it for me either.

I don't think so because when chips were readily available they still took off the bolsters

BMW, Porsche, Audi, MBZ just have ventilated seats. They do not blow cool air at all. Not that effective at much, sadly! The side bolsters are better than the ventilated seats, IMO. |

It could've been worse, I'm on an i4 M50 fb group and people post pictures from their deliveries. In some places in Europe they're getting manual seats. No way I'd take delivery of a close to $80,000 car with manual seats.

I had manual seats in my 2019 and 2020 BMW i3S and while it was no big deal (loved the cars), I told myself no more manual seats ever!!! |

It's still happening today. People are purposely excluding the manual levers from the pictures. I'd be ashamed of them too. I checked my build to make sure it has power seats and it does. I also know they can remove this at any time, only when I'll see the VIN I'll know for sure.

I don't think I would accept delivery of the car if it came in with manual seats

I was told that BMW has eliminated the trunk kick opening function from all their cars due to shortages

We get power seats in the US as of now.
Only deletions I know of in US for the M50: - Passenger side lumbar support - Handsfree tailgate open (kick open) - touchpad on the idrive controller - gesture control They also removed DAPP as an option from eDrive40, amongst other things, but I don't follow the eDrive40 closely. |

I don't remember ever seeing gesture control as an option. But I may be wrong
