Hold your "lock" button for a few seconds when locking the car - this folds them on UK cars. Is this the feature that needs coding on US cars?

I coded this as well as a few other features like angel eye brightness and different ambient colors myself using the BimmerCode app and a Bluetooth/WiFi adapter that I purchased from amazon that connects to the OBD port on the car. You can do everything thru the app. It’s free to download but you have to pay extra to unlock the full coding abilities. It’s pretty straight forward and user friendly so you don’t necessarily need to be tech savvy(but it might help). PS I am in no way affiliated with Bimmercode. Please use at your own discretion |

Hey no problem! I have this adapter; https://www.amazon.com/Vgate-Elm327-...s=Vgate+iCar+2 Downloaded the app thru the app store on my iPhone. I followed a coding cheat sheet I found on bmwesys to find what modules need to be changed. I used the expert mode in the app but they offer a simplified view that states what exactly is being changed. The cheat sheet helps indicate what module needs to be changed its a little confusing at first but it really isn't that hard. I can try to help anyone if they want to attempt it! I can try to put together a better overview of the app and what i coded if anyone wants? ![]()

How do you increase the angel eye level, by default, the app is already showing 100% but not sure if I'm looking at the correct spot. Is this done via the expert mode ? Any help will be appreciated.

I personally used both modes. I was able to change the ambient lighting and angel eye brightness in expert mode. I couldn't find the ambient light option in the simple mode and I feel like it didn't see a change in the brightness when I used simple mode to change the angel eyes to 100%. Let me know if you have any other questions once the adapter comes in Quote:
I can't remember what mine was set to by default but it wasn't doing anything in simple mode. I changed it using expert mode and I'm pretty sure it got brighter.
