Ful mudammas
Egyptian fava bean stew

This is good. Fava bean and chickpea stew, a common dish in Egypt. Recipe from YouTube and xawaash.com. 10 out of 10 on flavor, featuring xawaash, a Somali spice mix including cloves, cinnamon, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorn and turmeric. Deduct a few points on the presentation. Vegetarian.

Served family style at the middle of the table with individual plates.

Stew:
fava beans
chickpeas
onions
crushed tomatoes
ginger garlic paste
xawaash spice mix
salt
garlic
lemon juice
chopped coriander leaves
chopped parsley leaves

Garnish:
tahini sauce (tahini, water, lemon juice, salt, garlic)
EVOO
lemon juice and lemons
xawaash spice mix
hard boiled egg
feta cheese (akkawi cheese is genuine)
chopped onions and garden fresh tomato
pita seared in EVOO

Strawberries for dessert.

Filet mignon, sauteed broccoli rabe, fresh mozzarella and sweet/hot pepperdew. And of course, a nice red.

The filet was really tender but I have to say, I prefer a ribeye.

Same again as yesterday but this time it's Thai 'yellow' curry with Jasmine rice and salad, glass of red wine then strawbs and apples pieces with squeezed lime.

For some reason I have felt compelled to make a leg of lamb, I have made lamb chops (delicious and the kids loved them), and ground lamb for Gyros (a favorite of everyone who has had it).

marinated it with salt and pepper, olive oil, garlic and rosemary over night. Then put 1/2 cloves of garlic into the meat before putting it on the rotis.

turned out excellent, the potatos under it caught the goodness dripping off.

Looks good though.

It definitely depends on the size of the wrap and the type of bread. Some slices of bread are 130-150 ish calories a slice. That adds up real fast.

Basically. Caesar's the worst for those counting cals / macros. Anchovies, raw eggs, parm, et all.

You can also go down the rabbit hole of the oils salad dressings use. Some are high in estrogen for the fellas.
